Welcome to TSW Additions!

Have you ever felt like ARK's oceans were in need of a desperate TLC? Perhaps you wished some of your favorite aquatic creatures from prehistory were in ARK? Then you're in the right place!

The Sunken World (TSW) is a mod project that aims to follow in the footsteps of Scorched, a deep dive into a singular biome theme that turns conventional survival on its head!

Please Note: This is the additions mod for The Sunken World project. This means this mod only contains, creatures, equipment and other assets for The Sunken World. We are splitting this into a separate mod so you are able to take or creatures, assets, etcetera to other maps without having to load the entire map along with it when playing on other maps.

Current Features

Creatures:

Dinosaurs

Protoceratops: A small ceratopsian that has a major sweet tooth. It can be found searching the beaches and open woodlands for fruits, which it gathers with excellent efficiency!

Fish

Bothriolepis: A primordial placoderm that spends most of its days feeding on microscopic plankton. Its tough carapace can be harvested for chitin, and its digestive tract contains trace amounts of black pearls.
Lepidotes: A seemingly plain fish at first, this ray-finned fish can provide survivors with a wealth of fish scales when harvested.
Materpiscis: A motherly fish that has a strong instinct to protect young creatures. Besides being a great nanny for your aquatic tames, it can also scoop up the eggs of wild sea creatures with its delicate mouth.
Saurichthys: A serpentine fish that utilises its shocking speed to hunt anything that can fit in its mouth. It's favourite food is fish, but survivors aren't off the menu...

Invertebrates

Anomalocaris: A small, bloodsucking invertebrate from the Cambrian. While wild ones are a pest, when tamed they provide you with oxygen when on your shoulder!
Diadema: A gigantic version of the modern sea urchin, these echinoderms produce spines which can be used in the same way as a spear bolt in a harpoon! They also produce tasty roe which can be made into unique recipes.

Mammals

Ambulocetus: A proto-whale that is capable on both land and under the water. Found in the polar reaches, this animal is an excellent early game transport mount

Reptiles

Henodus: A turtle-like relative of the Plesiosaur with a shell that's the perfect place to build a home! Able to burrow into the seafloor and provide oxygen in an area around itself, and doesn't draw aggression from Leedsichthys like a raft would!

Sharks

Edestus: A magma-infused goblin shark lookalike with a flaming sword for a nose! These fiery fish can be given certain resources to heat them up, turning up the heat against any would be adversaries.
Sphyrna: A metal loving armoured shark that, when tamed, will aid you in gathering valuable ocean resources like oil and metal with its electroreception. Its rough scales allow it to be used as a mobile smithy when equipped with a saddle.
Stethacanthus: This small shark forms packs in the open ocean, staying out of danger thanks to its sharp senses. These heightened senses allow it to detect hidden treasures and high level creatures in the area.

Equipment:

Armour

Sea Scale: The hide equivalent of the late game SCUBA suit. Made from the finest seagrass and sea scales, it serves as an excellent way to explore the seas in the early game! A full set provides you with the ability to regenerate stamina underwater.

Tools

Stone Knife: A simple tool that allows for the harvesting of underwater plants on non-TSW maps which replaces their usual drops with TSW resources.
Diving Knife: A more advanced version of the Stone Knife that yields more rare resources. In addition, it deals bonus damage underwater.

Weapons

Trident: Deals additional damage to Fish-type creatures. Can be thrown and retrieved.

Structures:

Rotisserie: An upgraded campfire.
Floating Weave: Floats on the surface of the water. Provides an invaluable shelter from the elements out on the open sea.

Custom Resources: TSW has a whole host of custom resources! Many are underwater themed parallels of things that are readily available on land, but there are also unique resources which you'll find helpful as you delve into the deep!

Mod is currently a WIP, new features, creatures and more will be added over time
